SHORELINE OUTDOOR PURSUITS

AALA LICENCE HOLDERS

Dear Sir or Madam,

We hope that a quick read of our brochure will point out the qualities that make our courses and holidays quite different from the norm.

Since 1979 Shoreline Outdoor Pursuits has been providing carefully designed activity programmes of the very highest standards. These activity programmes, run by our professional team of highly experienced and nationally qualified coaches have been assessed and awarded government approval by AALA. To match this level of tuition our accommodation is of an AA 2 star standard with a reputation for comfort and its excellent cuisine.

We provide courses and holidays for 'one group at a time', this we believe is the only way to guarantee that all of our resources and time are spent with you. With all the activities within a five minute walk of our centre you1ll find no time is lost in lengthy bus trips to the activity venue, a half-day activity is precisely that.

With Shoreline you choose exactly what you want from an activity holiday

Duration - Activities - Cost

Read through our information, decide what you1d like and get in touch, we1ll immediately draw up and price a provisional programme for you to consider.

So if your group is looking for a quality, customised course then please give us a call, we'll be more than happy to offer advice and suggestions. Discounts are available for bookings early and late in the season. And finally, we wouldn1t expect any bookings without a preliminary visit, which we will be happy to arrange.

Programmes and Prices for 2005
We can accommodate from 20 to 70 people. When putting together a programme we like to keep the numbers in each activity group to between 10 and 13, with an additional 1 or 2 free leader places . Tide times are taken into account so that activities such as surfing, coasteering and shoreline life studies take place under optimum conditions.

The key feature of our programmes are that you choose exactly what you1d like to do. We'll certainly offer advice but as we will be solely dealing with your group we'd like to offer you maximum flexibility. You1ll also see an example of the programme one of our regular schools has chosen, but let me stress the wide range of programmes we deliver and the different emphasis placed on each

When you1ve read through our information just choose your activities and the duration of your visit and give us a call, we1ll be able to draw up and price a provisional programme for you to consider.

Accommodation
After a close monitoring of our costs we are now able to offer full board accommodation at the Atlantic House Hotel from between £27.00 to £32.00 per child per night, with a free teacher place for every 10 children. Early and late season bookings will receive our very lowest prices. You have complete choice regarding the duration of your stay from a single day to a full week. The Hotel boasts a location directly above the towns main beaches centrally placed for all our activities, most bedrooms are en-suite with a menu that caters for all dietary requirements. It is our experience that the stay at the Atlantic House is as important to the children and staff as the activities themselves.

Activities

The activities below are for half day sessions, unless otherwise stated and are based on activity groups of 10 to 12 with 1 or 2 free leader places per group. All specialist equipment and qualified tuition are included.

Additional Activity Information
The Coastal Trek is a guided walk out along the cliff top path towards Sandymouth or Duckpool where we descend to the beach for the return walk back to Bude. This can a half day activity but is more exciting as a whole day. The coastal geology and geography is truly dramatic making this trek a true adventure.

Project X is a short and very entertaining teamwork / problem solving activity which is usually followed by an all-in game of 'Cornish Rules Softball' on the beach. The River Challenge, MPS Challenge, the Canadian Adventure and the Ultimate Quest are all problem solving activities which encourage initiative, communication and genuine teamwork, loads of fun ! The River Challenge can be run as a short version during an evening session.

Some groups will organise themselves for half a day, this time is spent visiting the town or collecting information on a Bude based project, we can help with ideas.
