Simon Hammond

Simon is the Technical Advisor at Shoreline and together with his wife Nicola owns the business. Simon is a highly qualified and experienced Outdoor Pursuits professional with BCU coaching qualifications in Inland Kayak, Sea and Surf, Mountain Training UK qualified with his Mountain Instructor Award, a Surf Life Saving Beach Lifeguard Trainer, and a qualified teacher

He became the World Surf Kayaking Champion in 2003 and a year later wrote the book Surf Kayaking the Essential Guide. Simon teaches a Btec in Adventurous Activities at the local school and coaches Surf Kayaking around the world. Rock Climbing and Mountaineering are his passion and he worked hard to gain his MIA in 2012. He loves adventure and is keen to drag his students, instructors, wife and children into challenging situations!
