We couldn't have a more scenic archery site with its location overlooking the cliffs and beaches of Bude. With three permanent targets and composite bows, we teach the sport of archery in a framework of fun and friendly competition. Archery requires concentration and good body control together with some specific skills which we'll coach you during our half-day sessions.
After a few rounds with our coaches, helping you to improve your technique, we'll set up a friendly competition in which you'll be trying to get your arrows as close to that inner gold circle as possible. Along the way, we'll even explain the critical difference between your Nock and your Pile and sort out your Quiver from your Fletchings. By the end of a session, you'll feel like a real professional!
Within the activities we run at Shoreline a session of Archery offers something a bit different. It's certainly less physical than many of our other sports but with the degree of concentration and fine technique required its a challenging and very rewarding activity which we'd all thoroughly recommend.
Crooklets Archery Site
This activity is designed primarily for those who have never had a go at archery before or people who have had a go and fancy a bit of archery fun whilst here in Bude.
Our coaching team are overseen by GNAS coach Nicola Hammond and follow up to date practices in teaching this activity.
Safety on the Archery site is a top priority and archers will be shown a precise method of when to shoot and when to collect their arrows and where to wait when not shooting.
We can accommodate a wide range of ages across the many activities we provide but we'd recommend the following minimum ages based on the strength and endurance required for each activity :
Archery minimum age 8.
When making a booking knowing what you've done before will help us to arrange the best archery session for you or your group.
For our archery courses, we provide all the equipment that you'll need. All you'll need is to come along appropriately dressed for the weather.
